Rink Upgrade timeline:

2022 - City approval for Rink Upgrade Project, Volunteers needed

2023 - Grant approval, fundraising and community engagement

2025 - Construction and Opening 

Welcome to the Brookview Community League’s Outdoor Rink!

Please remember to wear your tags to show that you are a

paid member of this or surrounding neighborhoods

The Rink is located behind the Brookview Community Centre at 280 Bulyea Road

Regular Rink Hours

 

   Monday – Friday                        4:00 to 9:00 pm.

   Saturday                                    Noon to 9:00 pm.

   Sunday                                       1:00 to 6:00 pm.

   Family Skate will be Sundays from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

 

Holiday Hours 

   Dec 24: Noon to 5:00 pm.

   Dec 25: Noon to 4:00 pm. (Merry Christmas!)

   Dec 26: Noon to 9:00 pm. 
   Dec 28 – 30: 2:00 to 9:00 pm.
   Dec 31: Noon to 5:00 pm.

   Jan 1: 1:00 to 5:00 pm. (Happy New Year!)

 

Quick Notes related to Rink Operation

The rink will be closed when the temperature and/or wind chill
factor go below -21 degrees Celsius.
The rink will close if the ice surface is deemed to be unsafe due to
excessive cracking (caused by extreme temperature or
temperature fluctuations).
Please share the rink with all skaters and players. Don’t be shy to
speak to users and see how all can safely enjoy the rink for all its
functions.
Please do not use rink when it is closed or remove anything from
ice surface.

brookview rink RULES

  • All skaters using the facility and rinks must have this year’s EFCL skatingtags clearly visible on their immediate person. (free with community membership) For information on how to purchase a Brookview Community League membership or obtain your skate tags, please visit our Memberships Page.​

  • No admittance onto the ice to anyone without skates.

  • Helmets are encouraged for all recreational skaters.

  • No hockey play is allowed on the small rink.

  • Minors under the age of eighteen may not play on the large hockey ice

  • without a CSA approved hockey helmet.

  • No Food or Drinks on the ice surface.

  • The use of offensive language and/or behavior is prohibited.

  • Anyone caught vandalizing the facility will be banned from the facility and charged. Anyone banned from the facility and found on the premises will be charged with trespassing.

  • All infractions of the rules will be dealt with in the manner the League
    Executive deems fit.

  • Please help keep the facility clean by depositing your waster in the receptacles provided.

  • PLEASE STAY OFF THE ICE RINKS:

  • When there is snow on the ice (skating on snow damages the ice
    surface)

  •  When temperature is below -21 C (colder temperatures make the
    ice crack and break)

  • When the “Rink Closed” signs are up

  • When the gates are closed and locked

  • When rinks are being flooded or cleaned
