The City of Edmonton recently announced that all playgrounds, skateparks, tennis, pickleball, volleyball and basketball courts, disc golf, outdoor fitness parks and athletic tracks will begin re-opening for safe use. Following the direction of the City, the Brookview Tennis/Pickleball Courts are now scheduled to open Sunday, May 24th! To help protect our health and safety, the City of Edmonton and the Province of Alberta have established guidelines for individuals using city amenities. Prior to use of the tennis courts, please review the City and Gov’t of Alberta guidelines in the links below. Please follow these rules so we can continue to enjoy our courts and keep our community safe.

The Brookview Tennis/Pickleball Courts, located behind the Brookview Community Centre (280 Bulyea Road), feature a tennis court, a combination tennis/pickleball court, and a practice backboard. The courts were resurfaced in 2015 and are among the best in Southwest Edmonton!

We kindly ask all court users to review the 'Tennis Court Rules' below prior to using the courts. Thank you for your cooperation!

To use the courts, Brookview residents must have a current Brookview Community League (BCL) Membership. Community League Members who reside outside of Brookview may purchase an Associate membership with BCL providing that they are current members of their home league.

The gate code to access the courts is emailed to Brookview Community League members at the beginning of the season. Please contact us if you have not received the code.

The tennis/pickleball courts and practice backboard are available on a first come, first served basis at times when programming or lessons are not in progress.

July 6 to August 28, the courts will be occupied weekdays from 9 AM to 3 PM for Learn to Play Tennis lessons.

Please be courteous to other players and limit your play to 1 hour if others are waiting.

Tennis players please be courteous to pickleball players and move to Court 2 (court dedicated to tennis) when it is free. If both courts are in use or Court 2 is not playable due to standing water, we ask pickleball players to please wait their turn for Court 1 to become available.

Please leave the portable pickleball nets up against the fence beside the storage box when not in use.

Wear only soft-soled, non-marking shoes on the courts.

Children 12 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult or youth 16 or older.

Courts are for tennis or pickleball play - skateboarding, rollerblading, bicycles, and street hockey play is not permitted. Dogs are not allowed in the tennis courts.

No smoking or vaping in the court area. Alcohol is also prohibited.

Please keep our courts clean. Please keep food and glass out of the court area. Deposit all garbage including empty tennis ball canisters and lids in the nearby garbage cans provided.

The use of the courts for conducting private lessons without prior arrangements to reserve and rent through BCL is strictly prohibited.

Courts must be locked if you are the last to leave. To lock, spin combination to random number and click lock into place.

Please contact us to report incidents of the gate being left unlocked with empty courts, any damage to the nets or gate, and any other misuse or abuse.
