The Brookview Community League (BCL) will be hosting its 2020 Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, September 23rd at 7:00 PM at the Brookview Community Centre (280 Bulyea Road).
The meeting will include reports from the Board and voting for BCL Board positions. We are a small but enthusiastic board looking for more community members to help us keep Brookview a neighborhood we are all proud to call home. Volunteering with us is an excellent way to meet your neighbors and have a say in neighborhood projects and programs!
Current openings for Board positions include Program Director, Sports Director, and Seniors Director. Here is a brief description of each of the open positions:
Program Director – As Program Director, you will work with the City of Edmonton Neighborhood Resource Coordinator to determine which programs will be offered in the community and arrange for details associated with the programs. If you are inspired by bringing fun, educational, and recreational programs to our community, this position would be a great fit for you.
Sports Director - As Sports Director, you will be the main interface between the Board and Rink Manager for the outdoor rink season (usually December to April) while supporting the Program Director with any sports related programs. This is a fulfilling position for those who enjoy seeing community in action through the power of sport.
Seniors Director - If you are a senior in Brookview, why not bring your knowledge and ideas for seniors programming and issues to the community! As Seniors Director, you will work with groups such as SWESA and the City of Edmonton to help plan and organize activities and programs for our neighborhood seniors.
If you are interested in any of the Board positions or would like more information, please contact email@example.com.

AGM COVID-19 Guidelines: There will be a limited number of spaces at the AGM to allow for safe spacing (approx. 20-25 people) and, in accordance with the City of Edmonton bylaw, all attendees will be required to wear masks (exemption cards can be presented).
